The Logistics Alliance Germany is planning a delegation trip to China from 7 to 11 October 2019 with the stages Beijing, Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

The delegation trip will be led by Mr Steffen Bilger MdB, Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure and Federal Government Coordinator for Freight Transport and Logistics.

The People's Republic of China is Germany's most important trading partner. Logistics therefore plays a key role. The capital Beijing is an ideal starting point for the trip with good access, especially to politics and associations. The special economic zones of Shenzhen and Hong Kong are located in the Pearl River Delta. Shenzhen is the city with the highest per capita income in mainland China with a focus on the electronics and telecommunications industries. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is an important traffic hub for southern China and one of the most important international traffic hubs in Asia for maritime and, in particular, air traffic.

According to current planning:

  • Two days in Beijing with meetings with associations and companies focusing on innovations in logistics and cooperation.
  • Two days in Shenzhen with a visit to the CILF trade fair, participation in the LAG forum "Logistics Solutions made in Germany" and meetings with companies and associations focusing on producers / shippers, electronics / IT.
  • A day in Hong Kong with meetings with associations and companies focusing on eCommerce / export-oriented trade.
